Pike County ALS

Pike County Advanced Life Support, Inc. (PC-ALS) formed in 2003 provides advanced life support services that supplement the services that we provide.  Our volunteers have been providing basic life support services for many years, however, there are times that medical conditions (such as: difficulty breathing, chest pain, severe trauma, etc.) dictate that advanced care is needed to assist our patients.

Pike County Advanced Life Support serves the jurisdictions of Delaware, Dingman, Green Township, Lackawaxen Township, Milford Township, Milford Borough, Shohola Township, Palmyra Township and Blooming Grove Township. PCALS has paramedics on duty 24 hours a day, 7 days a week able to respond to a medical emergency within 2 minutes of dispatch.  Because of this timely response time, PC-ALS personnel are able to arrive on the scene of a medical emergency very quickly.  Since there are no hospitals located in our county, it can take 30 to 45 minutes to get to an emergency room once we have a patient on board our ambulance.

The PCALS paramedics supplement our services by providing advanced medical care including intravenous access, 12-lead EKG monitoring, medication administration, and advanced airway management.  This extra medical care that is available has saved the lives and/or shortened recovery periods for many of our community residents and visitors.

Pike ALS currently has stations in the Milford area, Hawley and Lackawaxen.

We appreciate everything this organization has done to improve the medical care for our community and encourage the public to support this organization as much as possible.
